Disadvantages of field one-point calibration There are also disadvantages in field calibration that should be mentioned. Field calibrations with the instrument installed in the process limit the calibration curve to one point only. Many processes vary in conditions and the one-point calibration limits the curve over a small portion of the operating conditions.
